Dr. Pravat specializes in cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions, treating pain with fluoroscopically guided procedures including epidural steroid injections (interlaminar, transforaminal, and catheter-guided), facet injections and radiofrequency ablation/rhizotomy, sacroiliac joint injections, and spinal cord stimulation/neuromodulation. He is also proficient in peripheral joint injections, tendon sheath injections, trigger point injections, and peripheral nerve blocks, often performed with ultrasound guidance. Dr. Pravat recognizes that many conditions require a comprehensive approach, and medication management is an important part of the overall treatment plan when appropriate.
Dr. Pravat emphasizes the importance of aerobic exercise, flexibility, mobility, alignment, and strength in maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle. He strives to maximize physical, emotional, and psychological well-being to reduce symptoms and improve overall health.
Dr. Pravat also provides inpatient rehabilitation across a variety of settings, working with complex patients with multiple medical conditions to maximize independence and quality of life. He additionally assists patients with mobility and wheelchair evaluations, and works with amputees on prosthetic evaluations and rehabilitation needs.
Dr. Pravat also participates in the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT) program, helping eligible patients access investigational treatments through this state-authorized registry.
